It's ALL downside !!
There is no upside to Target. It will be a few minutes closer and for that we want a big ugly looking building ? This will open up a Pandoras box, more big box retailers will want to move in, like Wal-Mart. How will they be able to deny Wal-Mart their zoning permit, if this goes through ?

It's all Downside
Just remember this when 10-12 mils is put on the next ballot for the schools. Without industry, residents must share a larger burden of the tax. Can't have it both ways.
Vote YES for our schools!!!!

A bit more traffic?
You obviously haven't lived here long. It'll be A LOT more traffic. I moved here years ago when there was only Big Bear shopping center and Wedgewood Country Club. The Sawmill Parkway development had not occurred. I was usually the first (and sometimes only) car at the light at the Sawmill/Powell Road intersection. Sawmill Road stopped at Big Bear Ave (on the east side of Sawmill).
In the time since I've moved here all this development has increased traffic TREMENDOUSLY. I'm not the only car at the light anymore. When I come home from work a 5pm now I'm in line with 50 cars! Yes, I actually counted while I sat through 4 green lights.
I knew when I moved here that I would have to drive to Target 5 miles away and WalMart in Dublin (the one on 23 didn't exist). I was fine with that and would still be fine with that. i don't need them in my back yard.
I don't WANT Target or WalMart or any other big box retail store in my backyard.
And, since you'll probably ask...Yes, I would vote for a school levy even though I don't have kids in these schools!

target
Exactly where is the Target wanting to go - Powell & Sawmill, the big open field there ?? I agree w/whomever said to keep it small stores. I was for Target, but someone said something about the country feel & I really do like that. We have already changed so much in the area in the last 10 yrs. By the way, does anyone know what they are putting behind Drug Mart ?
