Community Workshop and Fair

On June 23, 2000, the Grant Park Community Workshop was held at the Recreation Center. There was a good turnout and I believe benefits gained were well worth the attendance.

On June 24, 2000, the Community Fair was held at the Recreation Center also. The fair was a success. There was a good number of people who turned out for the four hour event. There were plenty of kids around and they enjoyed games, face painting, snow cones, etc.

There was a Police helicopter, motorcycle, horse and police officers in attendance. The Fire Department had a Fire Engine there with Firefighters and the Hillsborough County Fire Department provided a training trailer designed to teach children about fire safety.

Overall it was a very successful community event and we would like to thank all those who participated, gave and who support the community.
