What can be done, if anything about the large number of power outages we seem to have in this neithborhood. I realize in the event of a large storm, things like this happen....but our neighborhood seems to loose power ALOT. We had no power again today for 4.5 hrs, on a beautiful day with no rain. There has to be some LG&E issues in our area to warrrent such outages???

City Council To Address Problem
Many residents feel the same as you about the unusual number of outages that our area has experienced.
The recent article in The Courier-Journal explained why undergrounding the lines would not be a total or ideal solution. However, there must be some other ways to ensure a dependable supply of electricity.
Please come to the City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 27, and voice your concern about this problem. Undoubtedly, Council Members will have this on their agenda also. For details about the time and location of the meeting, please see the Community Calendar on the homepage of this website... or the July issue of the Graymoor-Devondale News.

Power Outages
Ditto to this statement! Yes, it's quite aggravating to juice up the generator every other week it seems. For me personally, this typically means time off from work because I simply refuse to leave my home unprotected while we're in such a venerable state. LG&E MUST do something to help alleviate the problem. Do trees need trimming?? Then trim them! Does our grid need to be overhauled? Then let's hear what it would take to make it happen. Three to four day and in some cases, longer periods of outages, are just not acceptable. The squeaky wheel gets the oil and I say we start squeaking loud and long!
