Several volunteers throughout the district participate in the Sign Squad and monitor our right-of-ways for illegally placed advertising signs. I can tell a noticeable difference in our right-of-ways, and send a special thanks to them for all of their hard work.
I would like to ask for your help in informing organizations you work with that they should be mindful of where to place signs.
If an organization does place a sign in the right-of-way, and it is removed, a representative from that organization may pick the signs up at Public Works 1st Division, located at 595 Hubbards Lane. The district is open 7 a.m. ?– 5 p.m., Monday ?– Thursday. Signs will be stored at that location for 30 days, after which the signs will be destroyed.
