Every 1 Reads is a community-wide effort to have every child in the Jefferson County Public School (JCPS) system reading at grade level within four years.

There are more than 4500 volunteers going to schools to work 30 minutes one day a week with a struggling reader. All elementary schools are involved and are embracing the volunteers. However, more tutors are needed to reach the goal of all JCPS students reading on grade level by 2008.
