I personally cannot stand grass that is too high, weedy, or trashy looking. I cut my yard every week without fail unless it dosent need it. I enjoy cutting the grass, it is good exercise, and it makes the yard look better. High grass can promote snakes, rats, and trash because of the filth that comes along with the lack of care. NO ONE!!! has the right to determine that it should not be taken care of. The neighbors who pay the maintanance fee are due that much. The members on the board need to see this happens or RESIGN. As a grandparent would say IF you cant stand the heat stay out of the kitchen. I can see why some of the punks in the neighborhood have no respect when the adults will not set an example. It is as easy as do unto to others. I have also lived in this neighborhood 35 years and I am 50 years old, and I still remember what my grandparents told me. If your NOT part of the solution then YOU are part of the PROBLEM.

The board has been working on this. The City of Houston is obligated to mow West Road twice a year April and October. This matter has been turned in many months ago and we are told we are on the schedule. This has been verified on 04-25-2008, 05-02-2008 and a call will be made today. The person we have spoken with is Ms. Gomez at 311 and just give the address of 100 West Rd and it is in the system. We thought we would take advantage of the mowing to save the homeowners money as this is not cheap to mow. Since it is May 7th the City will have to answer to this matter. Please keep in mind we are dealing with the City schedule but I agree we will have to make a decision if we do not see any action. Thank You |

I appreciate that this problem is being addressed. I hope we are NOT waiting on the city to give us a response because the higher the grass and weeds get the more difficult it will be to fix it. I for one like to fix something before it gets out of hand. Right now it is managable but if we wait it will be bad. Lets pary we dont get a big rain or it will be a mud pit and grass unable to cut. If you dont believe me try pusing a lawn mower through wet grass.... try high weeds. |

I have just received a call that the City of Houston is out right now mowing West Road. This was not an easy task but something that the City will do twice a year. This took many calls and many discussions with them but now its being done. This was just to help with the finances for this month. It will now be the responsiblity of the HOA to schedule mowings with the company they use. And we will start making phone calls probably in August to make sure we are on the October schedule. I am just hoping they do a decent job. I just wish I was home to kind of monitor the mowing and speak to them if something doesnt look right but I am not. So I am hoping for the best. Thank you for your comments, they are all read and passed along. |
