6/29/2017 Update: First part of monument replacement project is almost complete. Lettering will take a few days since another company is handling it. The next items that will be need to either be replaced/repaired is the electrical for the lighting and sprinkler system. Some of you might not know that a driver destroyed our monument ver three months ago (Mar 6)--and our this HOA and its community manager was trying to get the driver's insurance company (USAA) to pay for the damages. Countless calls and multiple faxes containing repair estimates to USAA did little to speed up the process. It wasn't until early last week did USAA finally release the funds for us to hire the contractors. In the mean time, we've received complaints even after we posted information on our websites and newsletter.

Note: For the lady (from Park at Woodland Oaks) who recently filed the complained with the city (code enforcement) and our management company about our monument not being repaired quick enough. You might want to take some time to review the city's code enforcement documents (available online). Nowhere in the code does it require an HOA to either have a monument at its entrance or require it to replace one within a certain period of time. At no time (while work was being performed) did the rubble from the monument obstruct any part of the roadway creating a safety hazard for drivers.
