1. On Thursday evening 1-15-04 at 7PM the Greentrees Civic Assn. will hold its first meeting of the year at the Church of the Holy Spirit on Hickory Crest Drive. At this meeting a new slate of officers will be voted on by the membership.
2. The slate consists of the following nominees:
Pres. Art Herr
1st. Vice Pres. Mark White
2nd Vice Pres. Ann Brown
Sec. Ann Florendo
Treas. Fred Nowak
Homes Park Dir. Cecile Nowak & Joan Vogel
Kirby Parkway Dir. Russell Hill
Block Captain Coordinator Joan Vegezzi
Nominations from the floor are welcomed.
3. Our speaker at the meeting will be Bob Patterson, County trustee and our neighbor.
4. Agenda for 2004
Garden tour---Sat. June 5, 2004. Tickets will be sold from 10AM until 3PM. Gardens are open until 4PM. The proceeds from the garden tour are used for maintaining the median on Kirby Parkway, upkeep of Holmes Park and other neighborhood improvements.
5. If you are interested or know of a neighbor who might be interested in having their garden on tour please contact Wilma Goode (756-4663) or Joan Vegezzi(754-5485) Cecile Nowak (758-1488).
6.. The new Greentrees directories are now available. Please contact your Block Captain if you would like to purchase a copy We are very proud of the new directories & the great job our block captains are doing in getting a copy to you. Thank you Block Captains for a job well done.
7. Volunteers are needed. Please notify Joan Vegezzi at 754-5485 to volunteer as a Block Captain..
8. Dues are now due for the year 2004. Dues are $25.00. Please mail your check to

9. Drivers should be aware that a left turn signal is very much need at Kirby Parkway and Poplar Pike. We should notify the city traffic engineers of the problem.
11. Lost & Found---Max Stainbrook at 2267 Hickory Crest has found a pair of eye glasses. They can be claimed at the above address.
12. Condolences. Ruth Shea husband of Bill Shea died Dec. 17, 2003.

4th of July Parade and celebration was such a success last year that it will be bigger and better this year. We have many new ideas and plan to make this an annual affair. Make your plans. More information will be forthcoming.
