We had a great turnout on Saturday for our Summer Bash: approximately 120 of you! The kids LOVED the bouncy house. There were fun games, such as
the water balloon toss, and the 3-legged races. There was lots of good food.
And everyone enjoyed visiting with each other.
Thanks and kudos to Candy Nelson for organizing this event, with the help of Lynda Nielsen and lots of other great volunteers.
We welcome Jim Cotton, who is now helping with the ACC and Maintenance Committees, and Lynda Nielsen, who is helping with the Social and Web Page Committees.
More volunteers are needed. Please contact Gege or any Committee Chair if you would like to help out.

Hold on to those items. Greenwood point will join South Cove in their annual garage sale. Here?’s how it works. The Homeowner?’s Association will advertise our event in the newspaper and provide some signage around the neighborhood. Each resident prices, sets up, and puts their wares in their driveway/garage so customers can shop ?‘til they drop.

What to do in garden in July:
Harvesting: To keep berries and vegetables producing, pick every second or third day. Pick or deadhead flowers every few days to stimulate
continued bloom.
Annuals: For a late-summer show, plant seedlings of cosmos, marigolds, petunias and zinnias as early as possible this month.
Vegetables: For fall harvest, plant beets, broccoli, bush beans, carrots, lettuce, peas, radishes and spinach.
Feed Chrysanthemums: Give plants a dose of high-phosphorus liquid fertilizer every three weeks until buds start to show color. When the first
blooms open, feed weekly.
Mulch Shrubs: Spread a 3 to 4 inch layer of organic mulch under shrubs (especially azaleas and rhododendrons)to conserve moisture during
the warm, dry months.
Water: Irrigate early in the morning to minimize evaporation and to allow plants time to dry off to discourage mildew.
Web Page Bulletins
This page will provide a place for announcements of general interest to people in the neighborhood.
To submit an item, email the title and exact words you want posted to lyndakn@hotmail.com. Be sure to mention your name and Greenwood Point
address. Commercial notices are only okay if they describe a resident-owned business or service of particular usefulness to neighborhood residents.
Examples of submission would include services offered (pet sitting, baby sitting, yard work), major items for sale, services needed, lessons (music, swim), lost and found items, etc.

Beach Showers
Some of you may have experienced some early evening showers from our sprinkler system in the Park. We discovered that our watering system
clock suffered from a power outage, causing the hours of watering to be altered. We have fixed the problem and watering has been restored to 11
PM and 6 AM. Sorry for any inconveniences.
Please call Chuck Klein of our Maintenance Committee if experiencing maintenance problems at the beach and he will try his best to remedy
the situation quickly.
If you have not yet gotten your key to the beach park, call Candy Nelson at 643-2372 or Craig Planetz at 562- 8059. We still have some youngsters climbing the fence. I?’m guessing
most of us oldsters can?’t or at least I can not!!! To date we have handed out 110 keys, so we know we are missing some of you out there. Fence
climbing will result in damage to the fence and more money to fix. So call us; we?’ll even bring a key to you.
