I think the meeting on October 8 went very well. The Eastside Journal had an article about the meeting. It?’s available online at
http://www.eastsidejournal.com/sited/story/html/107790 Fred Butler pointed out that we need to be contacting the City Council to demonstrate support for the idea of annexing as soon as possible.
Please email the city council to request in your own words that they begin the feasibility study to annex our area as soon as possible, and
that they provide funding for this in the 2003 budget. To save money, they should combine the studies for Klahanie and Greenwood Point
Annexation areas into a single study, or at least a single contract arrangement.
From that, they should determine whether to annex the areas together, or in a particular order based on feasibility.
Here is the city council web page:

The preferred email address to reach all of them AND the mayor is: citycouncil@ci.issaquah.wa.us

There is a public comment period at the beginning of each City Council Meeting. The next two meetings are October 21st and November 4th. It
would be helpful to have people present at each of these meetings to discuss the need to ensure there is money in the budget to study South
Cove/Greenwood Point annexation in 2003.
City Council Chambers are located at City Hall South, 135 East Sunset Way. City Council meetings are held the first and third Monday of each
month at 7:30 pm in the Council Chambers. This is the building with the blue tower just east of Front Street on Sunset Way.
