Is there anything that can be done about all those little advertisements being stuck on front doors,garage doors, and those little bags thrown on driveways for ''Lose weight now...ask me how''.
There's nothing more annoying than coming home and it looks like a bulletin board...!
What can be done about this...?

Unfortunately, there is nothing that the HOA or the City of Surprise can do to prevent these materials from being left at our houses.

I have proposed a Lobbying Committee, for which we recently got our first volunteer.

The idea of the Lobbying Committee would be to have a group of West Point residents go to the City Council and the Mayor with the wishes and desires of our community and lobby for those things we want as a community.

If this is something you might be interested in, I invite you to attend the next Board meeting.

Board meetings can be found on the ''Community Calendar'' page on this web site.

The newsletter that will be going out within the week also has upcoming meeting dates.

When in doubt, homeowners can always contact Patty Garman at City Property Management (602) 437-4777 ext. 104. If she is not available (she is out of the office quite a bit), her assistant Jodi will be more than happy to get you the dates.

To answer your question directly, the monthly Board meetings are held the 4th Monday of each month (excluding Holidays) in the West Point Elementary School library. The school is located at 13700 W. Greenway. The Board meetings start at 7:00 p.m. at which time the Board conducts its business. At the end of the meeting, somewhere around 8:30, we open the floor to questions and comments from the homeowners.

Upcoming meetings are Monday, September 21. Monday, October 28 and Monday, November 25.

The December Board meeting will NOT be on Monday, December 23 due to vacations and the holidays. The Board will be making a decision as to that month at the September Board meeting.
