**REMINDER** it is against the law to cut trees or pick up fallen logs or wood from the Sanctuary. This is an environmentally protected area. And that 'dead wood' is home to many of our ground creatures! If you see anyone cutting or hauling wood, call 911.
The weather is cooler, the Sanctuary is a great place to visit at any time. It boasts of a fully developed 1 mile handicapped accessible nature trail. Rest areas, animal viewing sites. A favorite of bird watchers. We have many animals that live there and some just pass through: Bobcats, Javelina, Coyotes, Fox, Deer, along with smaller creatures: prairie dogs, squirrels, lizards, Desert Tortoise, etc.
