well, be on the look out. I don't know if it is just us on the corner, but we have had a few instances of vandalism. From the pittiful attempt to light a bag full of something on fire in the rain on the front porch; to the failed attempt to bash our mailbox. I'm not even going into having to call the cops on the neighbor down the street. I figure the person, who was on a 4-wheeler, was hurting afterwards since it only knocked the screws on the base loose with minimal damage to the box itself.
I really want to enjoy living in this community, we have only been here going on 3 years and the things my husband and I have had to deal with are just sad. My background in law enforcement doesn't help the matters much because I know what the consequences to these incidences should be.
Now I know I am not the only one who has to deal with stuff like this, but it's getting ridiculous. So I hope this new year is a good one for everyone here, at least my mailbox survived with a battle scar.
