Please be sure to read my note about the tree treatment on discussion "Meeting Reminder" post.

Along with that is some more information.  They will also give us a paper or whatever we need to send into the city to register your tree as being treated.  The trunk injection will cost $104.  The second year soil treatment is $50 (if you so choose to do that next year-but it is recommended).  To get a discount on that price, we need at least 10 people ($10 discount).

If you want to have your ash tree treated for the ash borer, please e-mail me at:  grove1107@att.net     by Thursday, August 4th with your name, address and phone number.  I will be calling Tru-Green with your information next Friday so they can do it the following week.

This is NOT being done through the Homeowner's Association.  Each person that wants this done is responsible for their own bill !!

P.S.  When Ed talked to the city last week, they suggested that if you are going to have the treatment done to your tree, that you take a picture of it.  That way, if for any reason, the cut it down by mistake--you can get the tree replaced.  They are responsible for replacing your tree with the SAME size tree that was cut down.

Yes, they are city trees.  But-just like the sidewalk and property easement-it is the homeowner's responsibility for upkeep.  The only consolation is that they didn't charge us for the tree and planting it in the first place.

Im sorry, but we do not have the extra money for such a task. There's stuff here we need done and not able. I think we have too many trees in such a small community also. Also, we've noticed trees pushing the cement walks up. City's mistake.
