Light Rail Coming to Hampden & I25

Design is underway for a Light Rail Station at I25 and Hampden .
RTD and the City are planning a light rail stop at I25 and Hampden Ave. Two options are under consideration for the Southmoor Station. One would utilize the existing Southmoor park-n-Ride property on the east side of I-25. Parking would be reconfigured on land already owned by RTD. As shown in the sketch above, the platform will be on-grade on the west side of I-25 and be accessible via underpass.
The City and County of Denver favors another station site on the southeast corner of Hampden and I-25 for transit-oriented development/ redevelopment. The same level of bus service and parking quantities would need to be provided at that location. Look for construction to start this fall on the southeast corridor. It will take seven years for the completion of the line.
