Tracy,
I spoke with Dave Hurt, our irrigation Branch Manager, and he informed me that Randy Roach and Hector Sanchez were on your site this past Thursday and Friday. We originally proposed several repairs including lateral break repairs, wire tracing and repair, and head replacement.
The trouble we run into 9 times out of 10 is that irrigation problems / repairs are progressive (or maybe sequential is a better term) in nature. Let's say there's a lateral break in the system that is keeping several zones from running (due to a lack of water that needs to be fed through that lateral line). We diagnose the core problem as the lateral break. So we fix the break and run the system. As the system then begins to operate, we might find that there are several heads missing/broken etcetera or we might find that there is inadequate pressure to push the entire zone. We then need to address these secondary problems.
So far this year, we have encountered a great deal of this type of sequential problems. I only go through this long and drawn out explanation in an effort to illustrate that frequently, irrigation is not a quick in and out affair. Our guys were there this past week and completed the core repairs but then discovered secondary problems. We are scheduled to be back before weeks end to address these secondary items and it is our hope that at that time we will be fully operational.
I would like to ask for your address in order for our crew to place a site visit sheet in your front door each time we visit for services. The site visit sheet is a summary of what services were performed while we were on the property. This way you'll be able to track our progress and know exactly when we're on site. If you wouldn't mind giving me that information I think it would bring you (and other residents) peace of mind in knowing whats going on and what we're doing.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Luke
