We have been given a $2800 repair bill for irrigation by Brickman. About half of that for broken heads. Here is my response to Judi @ Amity:
I approve of the repairs... but I'd like the addresses of the homes where the sprinkler heads were broken and if any of the heads were along the driveways. If those heads were along the driveways, which I know some of them were, then we need to bill the homeowner for damage to the "common area". We cannot continue to pay for repairs that are cause by the homeowners negligence. -Jason
FYI... All area that is more than 6ft off of the homes is considered "common area" and the HOA is authorized to repair this "common area" at the homeowners expense. Most all of these repairs will be ruts in the grass, broken heads etc... If it is damage that was obviously caused by those who live there, a bill will be handed out. We know some homeowners may not agree, but it is necessary to keep all of our costs down.
