The Neighborhood Partnership Program works to improve communication with neighborhoods throughout the City and to create opportunities for sustained neighborhood involvement in identifying and resolving issues that affect the quality of life. The Neighborhood Coordinator assists community members in identifying ways to contribute to the City's civic life and develops activities that help residents improve their neighborhood, while also advancing City-wide goals. The Neighborhood Partnership Program is intended to help Largo residents get to know their neighbors, their neighborhood, and their City.
GET TO KNOW YOUR LARGO
Get to know your neighbors, discover what concerns and interests you share, and consider what you can do to strengthen your neighborhood. The Neighborhood Coordinator assists with organizing new neighborhood associations and with increasing membership and participation in existing associations. The Neighborhood Coordinator also works with individual residents who want to know more about news and activities in their neighborhood and across the City.
Every neighborhood has challenges and strengths, some unique and some common throughout the City. The Neighborhood Coordinator helps associations and residents address neighborhood problems and strengthen neighborhood assets. As a neighborhood identifies issues and goals, the Neighborhood Coordinator works with associations and residents to develop neighborhood plans and to communicate neighborhood priorities and concerns to the City.
The Neighborhood Partnership Program connects neighborhoods to each other and to the City. Through participation in the Neighborhood Partnership Program, you can get to know what other neighborhoods are doing, share information and resources, and find opportunities to collaborate. The Neighborhood Coordinator also facilitates collaboration between neighborhoods and the City to improve service delivery, inform policy decisions, and develop new programming.
