You are welcome.

I can only assume there is a reason not to share information.

I won't even try and determine why.

I will never withhold information from you or anyone else.  I'm glad you aren't going to try to determine this because it simply isn't true.  It's only your opinion and not a fully informed opinion that I can see.  In being the current Chairman, I have learned what works best for me when it comes to getting as many people as possible to a meeting and have learned that if you share everything with people before the meeting, you are leaving them with no intrigue as to what they will learn which in turn would inspire them to attend the meeting so that they could learn more.  If they already know everything I'm going to say, then what's the point in having the meeting?  Why not just send out flyers instead?  Like I said before, I don't ever withhold information from ANYONE.  You just need to attend a meeting and then you will have the opportunity to learn the full details of the items I listed briefly on the flyer and be able to discuss how you feel about them.  I want this area to improve and I word very hard on being honest and forthright with everyone so that there are no misconceived ideas of what I have said.  I just don't have time to explain everything to everyone in full detail prior to the meeting.  It is much more time effective to explain it all at one time at a meeting.  And for those that were not able to attend, then the details will be explained so they will know what they missed.  You see, when the details are provided at the meeting, then and only then can you get a general consensus of what everyone thinks and can get feedback as to what we could do differently to change whatever it is I have discussed.

Like I said early on, if you would only give me your information instead of remaining anonymous, I could contact you and we could discuss many things about this area.  Give me a chance to show you that I'm not at all the person you appear to be making me out to be instead of making assumptions.  I know you can't please everyone all the time, but I'm probably the most honest person you will meet in this neighborhood and would love to quit talking about these assumptions you have, since you don't know me personally, and instead focus on how we could all positively work together to enhance our neighborhood and not waste time on dealing with things other than that.  That would free up more time to be making a better place for us all.

Thanks for sharing, again.

Cindy

We could not be pre informed about what the votes were about, etc.

I certainly didn't care to hear of your personal woes at a crime watch meeting.

Many words and no info. I've asked.

I prepare for meetings. Eveyone involved should. Very difficult to prepare for the unknown.

I don't know who you spoke with, but there was a lot of new information given at our meeting along with printed material that was handed out for everyone to take home.  I'm glad you said something about it because second hand information is never the best at letting you know about something like this.  You came to the source and now know a little about what was discussed.  The complete details will be available shortly for you to see when I post the minutes, if you are interested in learning about what was said.

This neighborhood is a crime watch group only.  We are not a formal organization that has by-laws, officers or the like.  When the meetings first began many years ago, the residents made it clear on more than one occasion that they did not want this group to be that formal and if we did, they would no longer support us.  What we all decided was to report crime as we learned of it, watch out for each other in the neighborhood, support the crime watch by attending meetings and either go to the Northeast Patrol web site to obtain the crime stats or would wait and learn about them at the next meeting.  This group does not charge any membership fees and is totally supported on donations.  There is no pay for anyone's time that volunteers.  It's just a neighborhood of people trying to improve the crime in the area that we live in with people who are willing to give up a little of their personal time to help make the crime decrease.

I would love to speak with you in person or on the phone.  I don't know why you choose to continue to remain anonymous, but it would help if you would let yourself be known.  It appears you have ill feelings about this crime watch or about me as a person.  Since this has not happened in this crime watch before now, I would love to speak with you to resolve whatever problem you may have.  If we don't get together to resolve whatever issues you have, then that leaves it open for any type of ill feelings to grow and in turn will begin to affect the entire neighborhood over time.  I would love to stop that from happening and I'm would hope that you would as well.

In regards to talking about my "personal woes" at the meeting, I simply told everyone what had been going on in my personal life that caused me to postpone the meetings for a while.  It took a total of about 60 seconds or less.  I wanted people to understand that the reason I hadn't had a meeting in some time was due to some very serious things that had happened in my life so that they would know that they can still trust in our crime watch and know that I'm still working in everyone's behalf.

I'm really sorry you didn't attend and hope that if and when you finally let me know who you are and what the issue is, we can resolve this and put you, and whoever else this may affect, at ease.  It's time to stop this banter and deal with the issue at hand so that we can get down to what this is really all about here in this neighborhood, crime.

Just like before, after I look at the sites you provided, I will consider what the the information says on either one and present to the neighborhood if it is something that I personally know the neighborhood may be interested in or if it is something that sounds like it could possibly work for our area.
