Are you aware that the Oregon City Parks Department and Oregon City School District are entwined in a join venture to build a park in the McLoughlin School open space area? Are you aware of a proposed new housing development off of Central PT. RD.? If you attended a recent HGWFNA meeting, you would have received vital information on these two dramatic proposals that may adversely effect the quality of life in our neighborhood.....
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Hazel Grove-Westling Farm Neighborhood group is a non-profit organization dedicated to informing its constituents about issues and solutions regarding our neighborhood. The HGWFNA, led by Chairperson Bill Vickers, has valiantly led this group of concerned residnets in keeping our neighborhood one of the finest in Oregon City. However, to our dismay, fewer residents are participating in the monthly meeting. The association is our vital link with city and county goverment. This is our "checks and balance" system to ensure our neighborhood integrity remains intact. THE HGWFNA cannot do it alone! If your have concerns about traffic, planning and land use, parks and recreation, trees and landscape, and city government, PLEASE ATTEND these meetings.
MEETING TIME:
The HGWFNA meets on the third Thursday of the month @ Cornerstone Family Life Center (18955 S. South End Rd.) The next meeting will be held on Thursday May 17, 2001 at 7:00 PM.
For more information please contact Bill Vickers at 503-655-3762 or Mike Kolsut @ michael.kolsut@gte.net.
SAFETY REMINDER: Please remember, the posted MAXIMUM speed limit on residential streets is 25 MPH. Our children and pets thank you for slowing down!
