I'm personally tired of picking up the trash that blows across the street from the park. Each Monday morning before work I pick wrappers and cups that flow in to my yard on Cranford. I don't know if there are not enough trash cans there or what the problem is. I enjoy the park being there and welcome people to use but clean up afterwards is all I ask.

Bradhamjr,  most of that trash is not just blown across the street.   The boxes of Jack Pirtles chicken bones and beer cans I find in my yard dont get here by the wind.

Could someone please forward this message to the cop I have been seeing around 1 o'clock PM taking radar on Willow and trying to hide on Ivy, Welsh, Hopewell, Raymore or hiding across the street behind the park service building or that church.

YES I agree people drive too fast down Willow at times -but I would MUCH rather he be cruising the neighborhood and looking out for all these crimes I hear are being committed between 8am and noon.   I want peace of mind,  not a radar trap.

From what I have heard about or been e-mailed we need to be on the lookout !!

I would rather apologize for calling the cops on your friends or relations that were moving furniture when your car wasnt there ....than to have to apologize for sitting back and watching you be robbed and not questioning anyone about it.

Think about it...

Let's keep an eye on Willow Park and report vehicles on the grass,  suspicious activity, etc.  The MPD's CyberWatch email service reported an assault out there last summer, late at night, a fight among young girls when the park was dark.  That kind of gathering after hours should be called in. Call the Mt Moriah station at 765-3131 when you see it happening so they can send out a car. I enjoy the park too and don't want to see it degraded.  Folks are out there right now playing softball at 9:30 at night, makes this feel like the nice neighborhood it is.

I pulled up some marketing scheme's signs a couple months ago along Willow by the park.  No qualms in clearing up that kind of trash.

We have a Neighborhood Watch group on my street and we watch out for each other when we're home.   But the bad guys are pretty good at telling vulnerable residences and striking when no one's looking.  Twice on my street in the past year that I know of.  Rich63, you're right, it would be good to focus on patrols, but I don't mind cops catching speeders on Willow either.
