Help Protect Colorado's Canyon's

Posted in: Highlands Ranch
The value of our Public Lands and Wilderness Designation. We are losing Colorado's special places at an alarming rate. Only 5% of Colorado's 66 million acres is protected with wilderness designation. Congresswoman Diana DeGette has introduced the Colorado Wilderness Act of 1999(HR829) which would complete Colorado wilderness protection by addding these canyonlands to the wilderness designation. You can help by contacting your county commissioners and urge them to support HR829. You can contact the commissioners: Walter Maxwell, James Sullivan and Melanie Worley. Douglas County Commissioners
