Hi EB~

I just wanted to let you know there are a couple of other homes here on Lasalle who were interested in starting a block group a while back (I'm not sure about this time of year).  Our street seems to have quieted down a bit - many rowdy renters have moved on, but a couple definitely remain.   

I have a couple of questions for anyone: 

Can landlords be held accountable for their renter's actions? (rentals account for most of the issues on our street)

Can anything be done if a rental has only teens living there for the summer (with no adult supervision) as happened on our street this year?

A crime watch group AND a clean up weekend would be great for Dequincy. and eb007, i understand your fear about local crime. my central air unit was stripped between the time i closed on my house and when i moved in.

i don't want to engage in any social stratification. i would like to know who rents and who owns. and if the neighbors of the rentors are having trouble, we should have a neighborhood point-person or liaison for a list of landlords' phone numbers...justa thought.

Hoodlums??? Why would someone be a hoodlum by the way they look?? I am very interested in learning how to ID the "Hoodlums" with your professional expertise. And of course you would like to be the neighborhood "snitch"! You are one miserable person. Find a hobby. I bet your nosey. And if you your expierencing "murders" everyother day you should move!!!..LOL!! what an idiot!
