If you haven't gotten wind of the proposed development of the 42 acres of farm land adjoining our subdivisions there's some things you should know. First of all the City thru their comprohensive plan update changed the minimum lot size to 4,000 (RS4) from the 7,000 (RS7). This change will impact the character of area by creating rental type investment properties, some of the lots are actually designated as duplex lots, so through the land use change the City got the cart before the horse because the traffic infrasture is not in place to handle the dramatic increase of vehicles impacting Greenurst and the residential sub streets accessing the development. The cars moving through Herron Springs I and Sands Pointe will decrease the safety of the families living along Belknap and Herron Dr. significantly. WE need to get our message of "STOP THE BAD DEVELOPMENT" spreading to all our neighbors and let the City know we want to be notified of any public hearings and then show up to voice our concerns. Its time folks.
