Both my and my wife's cars were broken into last Saturday night, 2/16. I guess 'broken' is a strong word to use since they were both unlocked, but someone tried to steal both of our car stereos. They broke part of my wife's dash trying to get to the bottom of the radio, broke the trim piece off of my radio, and there are marks where they tried to pry mine out with a flathead screwdriver, so it was very obvious that someone had been in the vehicles.
They didn't get either of them, maybe a car turned on my street and scared them, or maybe they gave up, who knows. I reported it to the Mt. Juliet police and they told me that they have had a few reported over in Willoughby Station recently as well, and that they would add Edinburgh St. to their patrol loops.
Just want to let everyone know that there are some thieves roaming our neighborhood, so be careful what you leave in your car and lock it up at night.
