basketball goal

Posted in: Hickory Hills

I would like to mount a basketball goal right over my garage doors so my son & I can play as he continues to grow up. However, before I go out and buy a goal, is this against HOA Guidelines?  As I have looked around our neighborhood, I haven't seen any mounted goals - just external stand-alone goals.  If anyone knows, one way or the other, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.  Thanks!

Seems like there used to be a copy of the HOA covenant on the website but I couldn't find it.  Anyways, if you go to the Gasser Property Mgmt link on the website it will give you a number to contact them.  According to the website, you have to contact them first before making any changes to the outside of your home.

I've not seen any attached basketball goals, so my gut says they're probably not allowed.  I'm not on the HOA, so I don't know for sure.

There is a basketball hoop mounted to the garage a few doors down from us.
