Does anybody know why there were 5 police cars, plus two under cover cars and cops walking around with guns in their hands on Dunedin? It happened Thursday evening (6-12-08.) I heard it was a standoff. I'm curious to what happened and to know if everyone is okay.

According to a neighbor, there was some sort of a pretty bad domestic dispute. Apparently the guy must have been considered armed and dangerous because the police asked some of the neighbors between Edinburgh and Wellington to vacate their house. I think they were able to arrest the guy without anything else happening. Again, this is all hear-say, so I apologize if I got any or all of the story wrong. |
