Recently we have seen a number of disasters across the country. It would be wise to talk to your family, friends and neighbors to come up with a disaster plan that can help you in times of crisis. Some of the items to think about when preparing a disaster plan would include getting to know your local officials, know where rescue shelters are located and talk to your children if they are in school while you are at work about the family plan for disaster. Keep proper back up of critical papers, records, accounting and documentation in a safe place which may not always be at the home front. Review your property insurance policy to insure adequate coverage. This is key and critical. A higher insurance premium today ?– could be a giant financial savings tomorrow.
