Prescription Assistance For Older Pennsylvanians
PACE and PACENET (Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly) PACE and PACENET provide prescription drug benefits to eligible Pennsylvania residents. PACE and PACENET have served residents since 1984 and continues to operate after Medicare Part D, which began in 2006.
Eligibility: Pennsylvania resident for 90 days prior to application, 65 years of age or older.
Income Limits:
PACE Single $14,500 or less or married couple $17,700 or less.
PACENET single $14,500-$23,500 or married couple $17,700-$31,500.
Income from the previous calendar year determines an applicant?’s eligibility. Income includes gross Social Security and pensions, taxable distributions from IRAs and annuities, interest, dividends, capital gains, wages, net rental and business income, worker?’s compensation, unemployment compensation, gifts and inheritance exceeding $300 and life insurance death benefits exceeding $10,000. Assets, such as your home and car, are NOT considered income.
Benefits: Persons enrolled in PACE will pay $6 for a one-month supply of generic prescription drugs and $9 for brand name drugs. Persons enrolled in PACENET must pay the first $40 in prescription costs each month at the pharmacy plus pay $8 for generic prescription drugs and $15 for name brand drugs.

Note: Individuals may be eligible for PACE or PACENET even if they have other prescription coverage, including the Medicare prescription drug benefit (Part D). The program will provide applicants with further details upon request.
