9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Blood and Bone Marrow Donor Drive
9 a.m. - 11 a.m. Tour of home xeriscape gardens
Sign in at Gardening Volunteers of South Texas table.
10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Children?’s Garden Project
10 a.m. ?– 12 noon Illegally-posted signs bounty hunt contestants, ages 10-16 (with parental permission) turn in signs at HPNA booth.
Cash prizes for most signs: $65, 40, 20
All day Free mulch for area residents at corner of Hammond & Gevers; from COSA Environmental Services
10:45 a.m. , 12:45 p.m. Rainwater storage barrel demonstrations
11:15 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. District 3 City Council Candidate Forum
11 a.m. ?– 1 p.m. Police car demonstration for young persons
12 noon ?– 4 p.m. Live entertainment on outdoor stage
1 p.m. ?– 2 p.m. SAPD K-9 canine team demonstration
1 p.m. ?“How to Design Your Own Landscape?” with Charles Bartlett
2 p.m. ?“Texas Insects and Organic Gardening?” with Malcolm Beck
3:30 p.m. Question and Answer session, and book-signing with Malcolm Beck
3:30 p.m. Drawing for raffle and door prizes
Volunteers are needed to open the basketball gym!
