Evaluating New Businesses:
* maintain a current inventory of businesses in plan area
* assessment of new businesses in area (See Zoning and Planning)
*Ensure businesses define the character of the neighborhood.

Representation on boards and commissions:
* communication with Mayor, City Council, County Commissioner, etc., to acquire a citizen advocate or group as needed

Zoning and Planning:
* awareness of zoning changes that are not part of the Highlands Community Plan
- Recruit and organize plan members to oppose changes if necessary.
* Use online City information.
* Work with District 3 zoning commissioner on changes that affect our area.
