No doubt you?’ve noticed the improvements on the street such as planters and sign toppers. These have been obtained through volunteers in the HRNA and part of our Neighborhood Fund grant. Read below for what we?’ve accomplished so far.
*Sign Toppers Installed on (3) Street Signs
*Hands on Atlanta with the assistance of Betty Battle, Danny Bell, and Naeema Gilyard cleaned up two vacant lots, the grounds of Ms. Shumake?’s at 2254, and some of the lawn for Mr. & Mrs. Hendricks.
*Trees Atlanta delivered trees and helped residents with the assistance of Rita Trent, Emily Morrow, Sharon Beatles, Betty Battle, Naeema Gilyard, and Ann Foster plant most of the Dogwood and Crape Myrtle Trees
*The National Wildlife Federation was contacted by Armide Price to provide advice on reclaiming, restoring, and clearing the creek at the east end of Highview Road
*Planter Boxes at the end of (3) Highview corners were begun by Sam Hand and completed by Mr. & Mrs. Spencer, Mr. & Mrs. Foster, Mr. & Mrs. Brantley, Danny Bell, and Naeema Gilyard

We have spent $? 1939.67? of the $2,250 sent to us as one half of the grant, leaving a balance of $310.33? We will receive another $2,250 that will be used for benches, trash containers, newsletter equipment, and supplies, a training session, a major cleanup campaign, (including the creek) with a prize for the best or most improved lawn, shrubs, and coalition meetings.
