NEIGHBORHOOD ISSUES IDENTIFIED
Apr 17, 2001
In December a dozen neighbors from across the city participated in a discussion group with representatives from the Neighborhood Resources Office. Their perspectives were many, reinforcing the city?¹s conviction that ?³we must continue to develop a broad range of programs to meet the diverse needs of every neighborhood.
In particular, homeowners associations were encouraged to promote community building efforts by:
- making renters feel more a part of the neighborhoods
- cracking down on speeders
- improving police response to complaints
- increasing incentives to comply with restrictions on renting to more than three unrelated tenants
- developing inducements allowing renters to become property owners
- enforcing ordinances more zealouslly
DO keep your stuff in patio areas, not in front of units. Spring is a great time for cleaning up!
DO pick up your dog?¹s DOO. Now that the snow has melted, there?¹s a lot of doo out there!
DO bring in trash containers after collection on trash day.
DO put covered trash containers out the night before.
DO put trash bags out the day of collection. We don?¹t want to tempt the wild life.
