Below is a flyer that we sent out in February encouraging residents to attend our next meeting:

Conley Hills Neighborhood Association ?– 2005 Kickoff Meeting

This is a reminder to all of you that the Kickoff meeting for 2005 for the Conley Hills Neighborhood Association is this coming Thursday night at 7pm at Jester's Cafe in downtown East Point. This is an important meeting because we will be electing new officers.

So who cares, right? Well, if you care about the value of your home, if you care about your personal safety or the safety of your belongings, this is the time to get involved, either by just showing up or by volunteering.
2004 was a big year with positive activity:
?· We have had some nice new property development in our neighborhood,
?· Lots of good involvement from our councilperson,
?· And renewed commitment from the Velodrome.

However we have had and continue to have some major challenges too that we HAVE to stay on top of and make sure we are getting representation with the city:
?· Huge storms that caused alot of infrastructure and personal property damage in the fall
?· The West Nile virus infestation at the old school where Montrose meets Semmes
?· The major infrastructure issues stemming from the school at Montrose and Semmes which has resulted in the closing of Semmes
?· The rerouting of buses onto residential streets
?· Another health scare with the vinegar gas cloud in December
?· Numerous home break-ins, burglaries, car theft, and personal property theft.
