Old Hyde Park Village

As many have noticed, quite a few stores are vacant in the village. I recently attended a meeting held by the new owners and things actually seem to be very positive. Their major goal is to remove the Ralph Lauren store, move the South side of the turning circle to where the front of the store is now and develop a large addition to the immediate South (North of the Post apartments).

Existing tenant expansion and new tenant arrival were reasons given for the closing of the Victoria Secret and adjacent shops. I was also told that talks with restaurant developers are ongoing for the old Selena's spot. All in all my impression was that they are committed to maintaining and enhancing the entertainment and shopping experience we have always enjoyed.
