I wasn't sure about the political correctness of this posting until I read the opening line on the discussion page....''Your neighborhood discussions allows anyone interested to post and respond to questions, issues and concerns about this neighborhood.''
Here is my conern....I'm the parent of a young child and there are currently 3 REGISTERED SEX OFFENDERS living on Dartmouth Ave (between the 23rd and 24th blocks). Two of these people live together and all three have been convicted of crimes against children under the age of 16!
WE NEED TO WATCH OUR CHILDREN AND THE CHILDREN OF OTHERS!! I'm sure that sex offenders live in the best and the worst of all neighborhoods. It's been a true wake up call finding out I have them on BOTH sides of me. I printed out flyers and gave them to parents who are in direct proximity of these sex offenders. If I missed anyone, I'm sorry. Being new to the neighborhood puts me at a disadvantage. Maybe they will never bother anyone, I'd still rather be safe than sorry. Once again, hooray for absentee landlords!!! All three of these people rent in Kenwood and obviously a criminal check was never done. I guess a rent check (for some), supersedes a clear conscience!
