Sad News for the Flag Lady

Posted in: Historic Kenwood
For those of you that have not heard, Tom Cunningham (Debra Cunningham's husband) passed away Sunday. Debra was the one who put the American Flags all over Kenwood for the 4th of July. Debra has the great Medeterranean home on 7th, and I'm sure she would appreciate a kind wish or a card or something.

Sad indeed.

Tom Cunningham was such a kind, lovely fellow. He was always so friendly and easy to get along with. Debbie was my real estate agent when I was looking at homes in Kenwood (I didn't want to buy anywhere else but Kenwood, once I did my research and learned of the impressively organized neighborhood association, and experienced first-hand the special atmosphere that exists in Kenwood). She really cares a lot about our neighborhood and through her unique passion as a real estate agent to encourage first-time homebuyers to buy in Kenwood, and to make the process seem easy, she has facilitated a lot of folks, like myself, to buy homes and we take a lot of pride in our homes and our 'hood. Through her work doing encouraging and facilitating the process of homeownership in Kenwood, she has done a lot to bring our neighborhood back to it's glory days. She is very special to many of us. I know this must be awful for her and her kids, so I second what ''a neighbor'' said in her/his post: If anyone feels like sending a card or making some other gesture at this time, I'm sure it would be appreciated. It's a sad time and nothing can change that for the family, but maybe knowing that their neighbors are thinking of them and pulling for them will provide comfort.
