watch
I look, I see, I watch, I call, no response other than ''we're looking into that''. I keep calling. Nothing is happening. St. Pete times says drug related arrests are down sharply. No kidding. If they were up, these punks would be off our streets. Instead they are waiting to ''catch the big fish'' - meanwhile it puts residents at risk - and I suspect nothing will be done until a drug deal goes wrong and someone is shot - probably an innocent bystander. Very sad.

Hey KB
To give you some insight When crime watch was formed it moved the kids off 23rd and 3rd and 24th and 3rd We had undercover cops and the drug dealers got upset cause every move they made was watched> You are correct in saying the so called block captains were clueless But you must remember everyone wanted someone else to do the dirty work and they would come along for the ride. Crime watch failed cause the Kenwood assoc president wanted everything that was found filtered through him! I feel Codes, trash, cars, etc are all to do with crime Clean up the area make it look nice and also make it un inviting for crime. Now Sandy is in charge and nothing is going to him so the area must be quiet. KB I use to drive all over and I saw so much it would make your head spin. I've lived in Kenwood since 1983 and have seen 24th street and 3rd ave as the best place to buy drugs. I fought them for years but never got anywhere. When some new neighbors got involved just in the past two yrs to move them to another corner. One person can't correct everything but some have tried. If KW wants to close it out because its not in front of their house they will But the moment it does come calling they will only bitch and wine and close the door. One remark I will never forget that came from a high raking person in the assoc was I don't care what happens on the other side of Kenwood but only in front of my house.

Maybe I can help
I can get you a phone number and a email address to someone in the city that will help. I found that if you write to key folks in the city they will grease the wheel faster and help As for crime watch the only way it will ever work is the assoc stays out of it No more filtering no more looking the other way just find the problems and turn them in then let the city do their job Now some folks in Kw might not like the last Crime Carz, but he did get alot done in a short period of time But he never had a chance to finish due to all the BS If you all want something done voice your feelings to Sandy In a closing note anyone want any orange canna lillies

Haven't you heard??????
I guess you weren't at the meeting. CPO Zak said everything is fine. Sandy said the ''Crimewatch'' is going along and working just great. Yeah, right!
