A Sad Day!
It really is sad that someone would do something like that! I really feel for you!
Did you call the police? I'm sure you did, but seeing that you have a witness might make a stronger case.
I have a neighbor across the street that used to blast his music day and night with the doors wide open, it was impossible to even hear yourself think. I was consistent each time it happened and called the police, he,(the neighbor) eventually got tired of having them,(the police) show up at his door. It took quite a few phone calls and some time but for the most part it's been pretty quiet. I get a lot of dirty looks now from that side of the street, but hey, I can live with it.
I try to remind myself that these types of people were allowed to live this way because others on the block were living the same way too! We come in as respectful people who would like a degree of that respect reciprocated and shake their whole world up. It's all a matter of raising the standards and change is not always comfortable for all involved.
As a very nice lady in the neighborhood once mentioned to me when I was SUPER frustrated....DON'T GIVE UP!! Call the police and then call again! Call codes and follow up on the outcome! These people lead transient lives, they have short term jobs, short term relationships, etc. If we make it unacceptable for them to disrespect others, eventually they will move on and out of Kenwood!
