Restrictions
Amy-
Before you go reporting him to the city, you can make sure he is violating the current restrictions by checking the City of St. Pete website. There, you can find out the exact water restrictions (there is a link to the site on the main page of the Kenwood site). I pasted some of these for you. They update the restrictions so you have to check once in a while to see what's currently in effect. Maybe he has reclaimed water?? Is his landscaping new? He might have obtained a variance. Maybe none of this is the case and he's just violating the restrictions. In any case, it's good to be informed before making any calls. Diane :)
Irrigation with Potable and Well (non-potable) Water:
House numbers ending in an even number or the letters A-M may irrigate on Tuesdays only. House numbers ending in an odd number, letters N-Z or those with no address may irrigate only on Sunday. Irrigation is allowed between the hours of 5-9 AM and/or 7-11 PM.
A variance may be obtained to irrigate new sod and landscape plants for an establishment period of 30 days. 50 % of your landscape must be new plantings to qualify. To obtain a temporary variance call Public Utilities at 893-7261. Only one variance is allowed within a six month period, no extensions will be granted.
