Hello, fellow Kenwoodians!
I just learned from Andy Garr of the city's Neighborhood Partnership office that this week's citywide anti-drug march will again be held right in our own neighborhood, and also there will be a ceremony beforehand to honor the police officers. There will also be some additional Wrice training regarding vigils in front of drug houses or on active corners, etc. Andy suggests that people bring a chair with them for the pre-march ceremony and training. The date and time for all of this is TOMORROW, Thursday, March 28, 2002, and the location is the parking lot of Albright Church, at the corner of 28th Street N and 5th Ave North. Please try to attend if at all possible. I mentioned to Andy that I think we need to march in the area on the south side of town where we were the first night because the situation down there was really, REALLY bad. He said that we indeed will be marching there again soon, fyi. But tomorrow, it is right in our own 'hood. Again, please attend if possible. Thanks.
