Sending out warm thoughts....
Hi, Pete:
I saw your other message just now, too, in another thread, in which you asked me specifically if I would spread the word about this, as ''you know a lot of people in the 'hood.'' Unfortunately, I'm not close with many people from the 'hood association anymore. It isn't like it used to be. There's a lot of new folks, which is wonderful and healthy for Kenwood, but I just haven't been as involved in the association as I used to be, and thus haven't had a chance to get to know them yet. And I'm not close with many in the ''old guard''. However, that said, I'm sure we all--old guard and new folks, and everyone in-between, join together in sending our neighbor Jill good thoughts during this tough time. She's one of the people I don't know at all, and I'm sure that's my loss, as it sounds like she has given a lot to the neighborhood. I hope that those who know her will let her know they are there for anything she might need during this time, including just support and a listening ear. Pete is right, that's the kind of neighborhood Kenwood has historically been and we want to continue to be. So, to all who know Jill: Circle the wagons around and let her know she's supported now. Peace out.
