1) HNS will provide a stable source of operating support to housing counseling agencies.
2) HNS will increase the professional knowledge and skill base of homeownership education providers by designing and providing ongoing local training programs for housing counselors.
3) HNS will provide technical and informational support to homeownership education providers and become a source of information on best practices.
?˜ HNS will establish a local minimum standard for the content and scope of homebuyer education. We will parallel our efforts with those of the American Homeownership Education and Counseling Institute (AHECI) located in Washington, DC.
?˜ HNS will develop and establish appropriate mechanisms for counseling agencies to track and report results and outcomes in order to measure the costs, benefits and effectiveness of homebuyer education and counseling.
