Hello HPA!! The April showers brought the May flowers, let's hope the frost is over.
There are many events and exciting projects ahead for this summer, it is my hope that you will participate in making this the best year ever. Kid Crew is back, this year with Michelle, Evelyn,Sherrie and myself. We will make a difference in the beautification of HPA, starting with planting flower seeds donated by Tupac Hunter our State Representative. Motor City Make-over is the entire month of May, it's the time when we can all make a difference one yard at a time. Please help make and keep our neighborhood clean and safe. We can do it. At the "Breakfast and Books" affair sponsored by Tupac Hunter, casual breakfast was served and children of all ages received books in his" keep a kid reading" program. As this was Mother's Day weekend the ladies received carnations. I hope this event will continue.
The Family Fun Day this year in Hope Park will be on Fenkell, June 19th, 12noon until 7:30pm, mark your calendars. We apologize for the miss print on our HPA calendar that states the bulk pick up date for May was the seventh. Please be advised the bulk pick up is the FIRST THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH. We thank in advance the refreshment sponsor for the May meeting.
