CALLING ALL GARDENERS

Feb 13, 2005

The Detroit Agriculture Network invites Detroit gardeners to participate in the 2005 Garden Resource Program. The Garden Resource Program provides community, school and family gardens an opportunity to receive quality seeds and plants for their garden at a nominal cost. The program also assists gardeners access to other valuable resources and provides an opportunity to participate in training and educational workshops.
This program, sponsored by the USDA Community Food Project, is a
collaborative effort between the Detroit Agriculture Network, The Greening of
Detroit, Earth Works Garden/Capuchin Soup Kitchen and Michigan State
University Extension, Wayne County. For more information or to request an
application, interested gardeners should email Lindsay Turpin at
lindsay_detroitagriculture@yahoo.com or contact Ashley Atkinson at The
Greening of Detroit, 313-237-8736.
