Hello, I have been a long time Houston Acres homeowner & have been trying, unsuccesfully to hvae speed humps installed for years.
We have a very real issue with a high volume of cut thru traffic, however they are not the only ones failing to stop at stop signs or speed.
The large number of speeding cars coming up/ down both Houston & Martha need to slow down ! ( I am sure it exits on all our other long streets, I am only familiar with Houston/ Martha).
All other surrounding cities/ neighborhoods have already installed speed humps where they are concerned with safety for the residents.
Taking away parking on the streets for the "safety" of our residents has only supplied speeders with a clear path.
It is sad when a resident has to put their own "Caution" " Children Playing" signs out so their children can safely ride bikes.
