Re: please help-gagarge addition

I'm on the Hunters Ridge Village Community Association Board of Directors (HRVCA).

While I can't recommend any particular contractors, there are several reputable contractors in the Kingwood area. You can look in the yellow pages under Contractors-General. As an alternative, I've also seen calling cards pinned on bulletin boards at the entrances of home improvement centers, like Lowe's & Home Depot. You may find a full-service contractor who can do everything I list below for you.

For starters, the HRVCA Architectural Control Committee (ACC) needs to review any significant changes to the exterior of your property. That's one of the deed restrictions for Hunters Ridge.

You'll need to fill out a short form describing the proposed changes, including a drawing. Here is a link where you can find a blank copy of the form:

You'll also need to get a permit from the City of Houston. If you decide to do the paperwork yourself, the City Annex at the corner of Rustic Woods & Havenbrook (right by Wendy's) should be able to provide an application & get you started on that process.
