What a great, steamy, cleany day we had! All in all about 60 neighborhood residents contributed more than 8 tons of bulky solid waste--everything from chairs and tables to pianos to concrete and lumber to you-name-it.
We obviously love getting rid of our junk--check out all the smiling faces!
THE FREE PILE
The temperature may have been in the 90s, and the parking lot was plenty hot, but the "Free Pile" saw a lot of action. Could that have been because it was the only spot in the shade?
WHAT CAN WE SAY? IT WAS GOOD CLEAN FUN!
Thanks especially to Donn Allen of Crosley Lanes for letting us use his asphalt. Thanks to Elsie Deatherage of the city for her help putting on these neighborhood dumpster days. Kathy Nelson, Holly Nosler, and Jozie Rabyor helped check people in, collected contributions, supervised the sorting, and generally hung out until the last speck of garbage was cleaned up and hauled away. Lots of other generous folks gave their neighbors a hand. We all appreciate everything that everyone contributed!
SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
