I have received bids to start what I call Phase I in building a recreation area on about 1 acre of property located to the right of the detention pond. Approx. two acres of land will be selectivily cleared of under brush, leaving all trees with a six inch base or larger. In addition, the contractor will also clear the main creek/ditch of all piles of trash and under brush for proper drainage. The recreation area will raised up and be leveled if needed to prevent flooding. The main recreation area will have a 25 ft by 40 ft concrete basketball slab with two hieght adjustable goals on each end. Another 16 ft by 20 ft concrete slab for at least two or more picnic tables (that in the future, may receive a cover). A large wooden playset with three play decks,two swings, one glider swing, built in sandbox and picnic table, a climbing rock wall with rope, 10 ft wave slide and a tube slide and more... The project was higher than anticipated due to the increase in the price of concrete (nearly a dollar per square foot which raised the price by $1800.00). The projected cost of the entire project will be approx $12,000.00. We can later add a 220 ft long sidewalk from the street to the site for approx. $2900.00.I would like your comments and opinions on this project. A letter will be sent for your approval.
