WE WON!!!

Posted in: Casa Mia
I want everyone to know that we were chosen by Councilman Somers and the city to be the District 6 subdivision winner of the Building Strong Neighborhoods Initiative program. This is a huge win for our neighborhood. This means that we will be receiving funds for improvements and upgrades in Casa Mia, that we have been striving to do for a long time. We will be working towards sidewalks on the east side of S 80th Place and the west side of S 82nd Street. We will be working with the councilman to acquire the vacant lot on Inverness for use as a neighborhood park, with ramada and small play area. We will be working with them for the completion of our Baseline beautification project and landscaping throughout. In June, the city will have workers go door-to-door to voice their opinions on what they feel is most important here. We look forward to the change, it is on the horizon! YEAH!
Building Strong Neighborhoods

This is a TREMENDOUS win for our neighborhood. Thanks to Michelle's tireless efforts, our neighborhood is going to be the recipient of funds from a limited pool of money from the City of Mesa.

There were a lot of neighborhoods competing for this cash. We're extremely fortunate to have our Councilman's backing in our efforts to improve our neighborhood.
